Raindrop Technique

Dr. D. Gary Young developed Raindrop Technique (RT) during the 1980’s based on his research with essential oils as antimicrobial agents. RT is based on the idea – now being explored in a number of scientific studies – that many types of spinal misalignments are caused by viruses or bacteria that lie dormant along the spine. These biopathogens create inflammation, which distorts the normal curvature of the spinal column. RT is a powerful, non-invasive tool for assisting the body in correcting these distortions by utilizing the antiviral, antibacterial, and anti-inflammatory properties of several key essential oils. 7 single oils, 2 blends, and a high quality massage oil are used to bring the body back into proper alignment.

Your Raindrop massage is an aromatic treat. Reclining in a warm room with the lights dimmed and music playing softly, your feet and spine are massaged with special strokes developed for the oils to work most effectively. Raindrop oils penetrate the skin deeply to warm and soften tight muscles, and to remove any biopathogens present. A warm compress helps the oils to work even deeper, and provides moist heat to further reduce tension. I finish this massage with a series of light neck/shoulder stretches. Clients have noticed that they are actually taller – measurably so – after one Raindrop session.

A Raindrop Technique session takes about an hour.
