Swedish massage is based on long, repetitive strokes, with other strokes such as kneading and pummeling blended in. It is often the first massage you will receive from me, as I undertake to learn about your body. I have a flowing style, and the pressure can approach the depth of deep tissue work, or can be light enough for work with fibromyalgia. Often, I will incorporate lymph drainage into this type of massage, as it helps to remove toxins that are released from the tissues during your massage. Depending on the rhythm of the movements, this massage can be invigorating… or deeply relaxing, and as with all of the massage I do, is customized to your needs.
Your Swedish massage at BodyMind Dynamics starts while reclining on flannel sheets in a warm room with the lights dimmed and soft music playing. You will be fully covered by professionally accepted draping techniques while in session, and as each body part is worked, you will feel the tension slip away and relaxation start to take hold. Each massage is customized to your specific needs at the time, and each session is different.
A Swedish Massage takes about an hour,
and can be extended to and hour and a half,
